Madeline L'Engle, Rest in Peace

Madeline L'Engle, mentioned in this recent post, has died at 88.

A nice exceprt from the Times obit:

“Why does anybody tell a story?” Ms. L’Engle once asked, even though she knew the answer.

“It does indeed have something to do with faith,” she said, “faith that the universe has meaning, that our little human lives are not irrelevant, that what we choose or say or do matters, matters cosmically.”

I am.
I am for an instant.
Then I am not.
I seek not to make sense but to fill my senses.
I will Run a good race then I will rest.
